Walter is the founder and CEO at Praxiem, providing consulting in market research, commercialization, and business development, including a focus on the Internet of Things (IoT).
This includes IoT ecosystem analysis for economic development through FDI and export.
He is a proponent of the Internet of Things as a lever for economic growth and social good, including speaking or moderating panels on related topics.
Walter co-founded and co-produced the IoT613 IoT conference, priming panels on Social Impacts of IoT and IoT in Canada, among other key program and business roles.
He also founded IoT North, which cultivates Canada’s Internet of Things Conversation through online events and social media.
Walter is a co-creator and instructor of an IoT workshop leveraging Design Thinking for an interactive problem-solving learning experience and a speaker on IoT. He has an extensive background in the ICT sector, including R&D, Product Management, and standards development roles at Ericsson, Nortel, Mitel, and Ontario Centre for Microelectronics.
Walter is an Electrical Engineer by training.
